Hello Everyone!

I think my letter below, which was sent to everyone in my former congregation
recently, will provide the perfect introduction here!  I have learned a lot from Pearl over the last two years but probably still don't have it all down pat, so forgive me if the info. in the last two, three paragraphs isn't spot on! The elders called me and sent text messages after i sent it and that was kind of fun actually. image I will be happy to
share those as well if any is interested in reading them.

I look forward to getting to know you all better on this forum! Any friend of Pearl's is a friend of mine!  image

Dear Friend,

As you may know, it has been over two years since I last
attended a meeting at the Kingdom Hall. There were several factors that
contributed to my decision to leave at that time, but the most compelling was
my health.  I had reached a point where I
felt physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted. The breakup of my
marriage and loss of livelihood within a one year period had weighed me down to
the point where I could hardly think straight.
I tried my best to function on auto-pilot and continue to faithfully
attend the meetings, but that didn’t work after a while.  Maybe it was my occasional outspokenness;
lackluster performance in the ministry; decision to pursue a bachelor’s degree;
KH gossip, or all the above that led some to view me as “marked” or bad
association.  Whatever the case was,
walking through that big metal door had become a weekly exercise in stress
management, for I no longer felt genuinely welcome, safe, or comfortable in the
Kingdom Hall.  Feeling trapped under a
load I could no longer carry, I prayed to Jehovah then made the decision to
never subject myself to that again.  But
this was not the only reason I decided to leave, as mentioned. Please allow me
to explain.

Gaining bible knowledge through reading and study was
something I deeply cherished as a Jehovah’s Witness.  But as my comprehension grew over time, so
did my troubles with a restless conscience.
Specific information I read in the publications, and particular
statements repeated by elders and others on a regular basis didn’t appear to be
supported scripturally; likewise for certain mandated procedures that were
carried out each week, month, etc.  But
the real source of the cognitive dissonance I struggled with for years was a
couple of rules I bumped into not long after my baptism over 17 years ago--the
two most important rules for JW’s:  1.
obey the Governing Body as if they are God himself 2. Accept and comply with
all Watchtower teachings, even when they deviate from the scriptures. The
publications, elders, etc. never stated these directives in such
straightforward terms, but they were fully understood by the rank and file
nonetheless. Why the issue? These rules required me to obediently “follow the
leader” regardless of whether it bothered my conscience to do so.  This was not what I dedicated my life to God
for and in fact, such requirements were completely incongruous with what I was
preaching to individuals of other faiths.
The same bible verses were recited time and time again to the Lutheran,
Catholic and Mormon:  obey God as ruler
rather than men; be faithful even in what is least; be sure of all things; test
every inspired expression; do not put your trust in men.  I wanted to help all I met in the ministry to
understand that blind complacency was not acceptable according to God’s
word.  “True” Christians must:  1. carefully and independently scrutinize all
church teachings, policies and procedures 2. Defy church authorities and their
organizational protocols when it is evident that scriptural directives are not
being followed 3. Cancel church membership if necessary.  Needless to say, the imposed double standard
--do as I say, not as I do--made it increasingly difficult to engage in the
door to door ministry. How could I tell anyone to do these things when I wasn’t
doing them myself?

From the beginning right up to the present, the Organization
has been well-known for its countless flip-flops/revisions/discards, etc. in
doctrines, policies, and procedures, as well as numerous failed predictions. So
I am simply drawing attention to the obvious by pointing out that Watchtower
leadership is wrong at times.  As
mentioned, my biggest issue was that I was required to “follow the leader”,
i.e., accept and comply with absolutely everything the Governing Body and
elders told me to--despite the frequent changes and inconsistencies, and
despite the fact that doing so meant I had to not only ignore my bible-trained
conscience, but ignore God as well.
There were times when I went out on a limb and discussed my concerns
with a few individuals, but the response was always the same:  Wait on Jehovah.  Put another way, do what the elders and
Governing Body tell you to do no matter what; Jehovah will straighten things
out in his own due time. (sound familiar?)This stock answer never made sense to
me so one day I decided to do a bit of research (Acts 17:11; 1 John 4:1)

It didn’t take long to see that such thinking was entirely
out of sync with God’s word, and the following explains why.  According to the Gospels, the leaders of
God’s covenant people had once again strayed from his Word by establishing
their own standards of righteousness and, as in times past, Jehovah wasn’t
happy about it. His feelings on the matter where made known by Jesus’ scathing
denunciations, but more than anything else, he condemned them for their
self-righteous arrogance and hypocritical double standards. (Matt. 3:9; 23:3,
13-32; Romans 2:17-24
) As you know, the story ends with the destruction of the
temple in Jerusalem--God’s divine execution of justice upon his unfaithful
people, his “ channel” which, interestingly, wiped out the lives of not only
the Jewish religious leaders, but the rank and file as well, i.e., those who
had trusted and obeyed these men rather than God. From this information, one
can draw the following conclusion: We will all be individually accountable to
the Lord on judgment day, regardless of our religious affiliation (2
Corinthians 5:10
). Therefore, no individual, nor group of individuals, nor
religious organization is exempt from God’s judgment, regardless of what anyone
may claim to the contrary (Matt. 3:9; 7:21-23) There is no salvation,  no “ark” of safety, in any religious
organizations nor the leaders who guide them consequently. (Psalms 146:3, 4)
The tragic death of each and every rank and file Jew that perished in Jerusalem
in 70 CE is a sobering reminder of what awaits those who think otherwise, who
erroneously believe the following: 1. Membership in a particular religious
organization provides divine protection and exemption from some of the
scriptural requirements they teach others to live by (Acts 10:34; Romans 2:21)
2.  Absolute, rather than relative
subjection to their religious leaders equates to obedience to God and Christ.
Remember, giving allegiance and loyalty to anyone or anything other than Jah
first, constitutes spiritual fornication, idolatry--something He does not
tolerate. (Exodus 20:3; Ephesians 5:5; Rev. 14:4a) Think about this the next
time you compliantly promote Watchtower dogma that is not supported scripturally
(Ephesians 4:25), or follow organizational procedures that violate bible
principles, because you have probably done these things over and over again
with little or no thought as to the potential consequences.  I did.
For years, I tried to silence that little inner voice and faithfully do
whatever I was told in order to demonstrate obedience to the “Slave” and
maintain a good standing in the congregation.
It’s truly ironic that for 17 years, I was vigilant in avoiding any sort
of political and/or nationalistic demonstration of allegiance or loyalty for
fear of committing idolatry; and yet for 17 years, I made sacrifices, not to
God, but to an image –a religious organization.

But what about the verses that say we must speak in
agreement and be submissive to those taking the lead (1 Corinthians 1:10;
Hebrews 13:7
), or the one that mentions the light getting brighter (Proverbs
), you may ask.  Well think about
this: since Jah never lies or contradicts, his principles, rules and prophecies
are consistent and unchanging, even if this doesn’t always appear to be the
case. Like a beautiful masterpiece in a dimly lit museum, the many intricacies
of God’s immutable truths cannot be seen nor fully appreciated without a bright
light--a divine luminary that dissipates the shadows of unenlightenment over
time. (Psalms 36:9; 43:3) So even though we may not comprehend everything we
read in God’s Word, we can still draw the conclusion that Jah does not require
anyone to blindly “follow the leader” and/or maintain hypocritical double
standards in worship.  If the inverse
were true, verses such as Acts 5:29, Psalms 146:3, and 1 John 4:1 would not be
in the bible. With this in mind, why is it that JW’s hang on the Governing
Body’s every word, never questioning any of their claims, yet exhort their
neighbors to carefully scrutinize everything their religious leaders say and
do? After much thought, I believe I have formulated a reasonable
explanation.  Consider the following.

As a student of the bible, I can say with confidence that
neither Proverbs 4:18 nor any verse indicates that Jehovah is directly or
indirectly responsible for the Governing Body’s long track record of
contradictions, flip-flops in
understanding , major policy changes (e.g., organ transplants), failed predictions,
etc. To even imply anything to the contrary is clearly misleading, for this
suggests that the Organization’s consistent misrepresentation of the scriptures
is due to Jehovah’s slowness in shedding light, rather than the real reasons  -
presumptuousness, lack of holy spirit, arrogance, etc. on the part of
the GB.  And yet, each time these changes
occur, Proverbs 4:18 is cited in the related Watchtower articles and quoted in
talks from the podium, leading JW’s to believe that these men are not directly
responsible for any errors they make (because it’s God’s doing).  This raises the GB to the level of
infallibility, which is the very reason why you and many others mechanically
“follow the leader”, regardless of how much or how often they deviate, revamp,
revise, scrap, screw-up, etc. A similar process takes place in the case of
Hebrews 13:7, 1 Corinthians 1:10, and other verses such as Psalms 42:5. When
considered within the context of the biblical canon, not a single verse,
illustration, or account indicates that JW’s are under divine obligation to
comply with the GB’s every dictate –right or wrong (Acts 5:29). Even hinting
that the inverse is true is nothing less than a deceptive, megalomaniacal
attempt to alter God’s universal hierarchy of authority in the minds of
spiritually-inclined individuals (1 Corinthians 11:3) And yet, the GB does just
that and more in order to perpetuate the lie that absolute, rather than
relative subjection to their headship equates to obedience to God and Christ.  These eisegeses and others are consistently
and frequently dispensed via the talks, publications, etc. week after week,
month after month, and year after year.
In fact, during one particular meeting, a highly respected elder
declared, “Whatever comes out of the mouth of the Slave, you consider that as
coming out of the mouth of Jehovah.” In light of the foregoing, such grandiose
claims are utter blasphemy (Jah NEVER lies --Romans 3:4). What’s even worse is
the fact that compliance with these mistruths and others is strictly enforced
much in the same way the Catholic Church once sanctioned any who challenged its
unscriptural dogmas, policies, and practices.
Apostate branding, public humiliation, removal from the congregation and
shunning by JW family members and friends is the outcome that awaits all who
dare to listen to their consciences and loyally uphold God’s word (Acts 5:29).
These shameful implements of evil have led to mental and emotional problems,
serious physical ailments, and even death among a significant number of
disfellowshipped JW’s. Taking all this into account, it’s no wonder Jehovah’s
Witnesses practice hypocrisy!

If you have no problem being deceived, lied to, manipulated
and controlled by fear, you are where you should be—in the Organization of
Jehovah’s Witnesses. However, if, like me, you have experienced a crisis of
conscience due to the unscriptural autocratic style of governance the
Organization wields, DO NOT IGNORE IT. God has given you a conscience for a
reason, so it is vitally important that you use it as HE intended.  Here’s how:
1. Read and study your bible exclusively and independently 2.
Independently research the history of the Organization and current and past
Watchtower doctrines, policies, and procedures, paying particular attention to
the frequent flip-flopping, revisions, etc.
3. Independently and carefully verify all information that is dispensed
via the publications and public talks, rejecting anything that is not solidly
backed by God’s word.  Be particularly on
guard for statements that tell you to accept and/or comply with whatever you
are told, even if it doesn’t make sense, add-up, etc. 4. Practice what you
preach!  Refuse to hypocritically teach
others to apply bible standards that you are not fully complying with yourself
(e.g., preaching 1 John 4:1 but not applying it) 5. Refuse to commit
idolatry/spiritual fornication by complacently “following the leader” when you
know or even sense that doing so requires, or may require, disobedience to God
and his word (Remember, he who is faithful in what is least, is faithful in
what is most!)  6. Refuse to be
intimidated and controlled by family, friends, elders or anyone else that
attempts to frighten you into remaining in subjection to the Organization
rather than Jehovah 7. Pray to God for strength and courage to do what is right
according to his word.  If you are
unclear by what I mean by “independently”, let me explain.  Rather than relying on the Organization’s
self-published material to verify the accuracy of the Organization’s
assertions, claims etc., seek out sources that are not controlled by, nor
affiliated with the Watchtower. This is what Jah wants you to do and it’s what
you tell others to do! (Acts 17:11; 1 John 4:1) Verify, test, check--just as
you would if you were buying a vehicle.
Rather than rely on the salesman’s claims, you would consult independent
and objective sources of information like Consumer Reports or,
before making the decision to buy.

What is the purpose of this letter? I assure you it is in no
way an attempt to subvert your faith in God. To the contrary, it is a plea to
fully trust and comply with God’s Word, regardless of the consequences (fear of
man is what lays a snare).  And it is a
warning. If you continue to remain in the Organization and complacently accept
whatever you are spoon-fed, you are pleasing men, not Jehovah…. and you are in
danger.  The tragedy that befell God’s
unfaithful anointed in the first century foreshadows future events that will
befall God’s modern-day, unfaithful anointed remnant and all those (the rank
and file) who put their faith and trust in them.  I realize JW’s are taught to believe that
Christendom is modern day apostate Jerusalem, but this simply isn’t so. If
that’s the case, God’s anointed remnant is in Christendom, not the Organization
of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  This is a
critical point because it involves you on a very personal level.  How?
According to the scriptures, wherever the anointed are is precisely
where the apostasy and subsequent judgment will occur. So then, if the remnant
is located in your religious organization, the foretold apostasy will also
occur within your religious organization. Ask yourself:  why did Jehovah spare the Samaritans –the
“pagan half-Jews”--when he brought destruction upon his covenant people in 70

According to the pattern set in the first century, the
purpose of the modern day apostasy is to fully test the anointed. (Malachi 3:2,
3)  Whether they qualify to co-rule
mankind in the future will be determined by whom they ultimately choose to
serve –Jah or their unfaithful religious leaders.  The Revelation prophesies and many others
reveal this tuggle war of loyalty (Matt. 4:8, 9; John 14:30,18:36; Rev. 1:5,
5:10, 6:15; 16:12, 14; 17:2, 10, 12, 14, 18; 18:3, 9; 19:16-19; 20:4, 6; 21:24;
) .  On one side is Satan and the
unfaithful anointed who, like the Pharisees, deviate from God’s word (and
deceive the rank & file into doing the same), and on the other, Christ and
his faithful anointed who loyally uphold Jah’s standards even unto death
(Revelation 2:10).  Sadly, the vast
majority of those on the battle lines will not prevail because they are on the
losing side, caught in the same trap that Satan set in the first century:  a religious organization that appears to have
God’s approval.

This information (preceding two paragraphs) is not of my own
originality but comes from anointed brothers and sisters--yes, members of the
body of Christ--who have been kicked out of the Organization for refusing to
comply with unscriptural doctrines, policies, and practices.  Many of these faithful ones wrote letters to
the Governing Body about these matters, but they were largely ignored.  How do you think Jehovah feels about
that?  Well, how did He feel when Jesus
and his disciples were thrown out of the synagogues?

In closing, I want to
point out that I still worship Jehovah God (and no, I’m not a
Trinitarian).  And I still care about
you; this is the sole reason why you have personally received this
information.  Should you desire to
discuss any of the points presented here in greater detail, or simply need a
listening ear and some loving support, please don’t hesitate to contact
me.   All communication will be
completely confidential so you don’t have to worry.

All My Love,

S. Murray

(Note: Scriptures can be read in a new page, by clicking on them)

Dear Susan,
I made each of your cited scriptures a link, so that all your good references can be read easily.
It is not as good as pop-ups, but hopefully someday, we will be able to add that feature here.
I will also do that to my response here.
That said...
A big welcome to you! So glad you are here with us!
Jesus told us not to worry about what we would eat, put on, etc. (Matt.6:25)
If we are loyal to the God of Truth, we don't have to worry about leaving the "City" of apostate Jerusalem.
If we "seek to save" the life we knew, we will lose our soul. If we are willing, like Christ, to lose our former life for the sake of Truth, we will gain our soul (Mark8:35,36; Rev.13:15; John16:2; Rev.6:9-11).
Jesus sees to it that we receive a "white robe" and "hidden manna" (Dan.12:10; Rev.2:17). Though it may seem to onlookers that we are empoverished, we "are rich"! (Rev.2:9; Matt.6:19,20)
Out here in the widerness, he has promised to provide for us, just as he did his ancient people who left their captivity in Egypt (Rev.13:10,7),
and those who left Jerusalem after they saw the "disgusting thing" standing in the "holy place".
The truth sets us free. We do not have to remain under the deceptions of the "man of lawlessness" who has set himself above God's Temple priesthood (2Thess.2:4)...
which fits precisely, the "disgusting thing in the holy place". (Matt.24:15,16)
It may seem daunting at first, to obey Jesus and "Flee", but the days for "meting out justice" are just ahead, and we are wise to "get out of her" NOW! (Luke21:20-22; Rev.18:4)

20 “When you see Jerusalem (ANOINTED/Holy Place) being surrounded by armies (ELDERS/Locust-scorpions/disgusting thing -Rev.11:2), you will know that its desolation is near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. 22 For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written."

Our trust in God makes us obey Christ. We put our trust in God, not in men and their organization...nor in it's image as spirit-directed (Rev.13:15). We make certain that our "forehead and hand" is branded as slaves to God's Word (Deut.6:6,8), rather than branded as a slave to the Beast/Organization (Rev.13:16);
and we buy gold refined in the fire of God's Word (Rev.3:20; Jer.23:29), rather than the lies that are "sold" by the Beast (Rev.13:17; Matt.25:9,10) (Rev.21:6; Isa.55:1,2).
It demands worship, power, and honor, in exchange for empty spiritual provisions (Rev.13:8; Isa.29:8).

I loved your statement:
"It’s truly ironic that for 17 years, I was vigilant in avoiding any sort of political and/or nationalistic demonstration of allegiance or loyalty for fear of committing idolatry; and yet for 17 years, I made sacrifices, not to God, but to an image –a religious organization."
How true, and how shocking is Satan's power to mislead! Thanks to God's help, He rescued us! (Luke18:26,27; Col.1:13; Ps.18:17; Jer.31:11)
How shocking to claim that doctrines of error are God's provision! Why then, did we ever leave "Christendom", if erroneous doctrine is really just, "light getting brighter"?
Do we hold our worship to God's scriptural standard, or not??? (John4:24)
Jesus told us to examine the "fruits" of prophets (Matt.7:20; 1John4:1). If we just swallow whatever we are handed, we disobey Matt.7:15,24.

I also noted your statement:
"Be particularly on guard for statements that tell you to accept and/or comply with whatever you are told, even if it doesn’t make sense, add-up, etc."
They said in the WT to obey the elders (Beast) even if it does "not seem reasonable from a human standpoint".
Yet their own Bible translates James3:17 as: "the wisdom from above, is "first of all...reasonable". Would that not make such unreasonable guidance, "falsely called knowledge"? (1Tim.6:20)

Great job done on your "warning letter". Clearly God's spirit supported you while writing it.
Although scripture tells us of the power of this Beast (Man of lawlessness) and it's Image, we must still give them warning
(Dan.7:7; Rev.13:4; 2Thess.2:9-12) (Eze.33:6,7; Rev.18:4)
May our Father in Heaven, continue to bless all those who are willing to give their lives for the sake of truth!
All those who put their trust in Him, will not be disappointed! (Jer.17:7,5)

Welcome Bondgirl007,  (and a big hello to all)
This is a GREAT warning letter.  It is so well written and logical, with scriptural support as well.  We can only hope that those who are being warned will actually read it.  I sent letters also and I know that some in my congregation and family did read the letter.  When I presented a second letter to two elders personally, I asked that they at least read them.  I was told by one of them that they would NOT actually read the letters... "Oh NO, we would never do that ! ...that's how it all starts."   Well I wish that I was quick enough at that time, to tell them..."Yes, but isn't that how it all starts with people we leave literature with?..."We hope that they would read the literature and look up the scriptures before forming a conclusion don't we?"   Well it didn't go that way for brain has slowed down over the years.  I hope that anyone who reads your letter will be able to use it to formulate their letter when they have to warn others in their own congregations or families.  May the Father bless your efforts and give you comfort.  This is a small group at present and each of us come here as we can, but the comfort you give does reach all of us.  Thanks

Thank you Pearl for making the scriptures and scripture groups "clickable" so that they open a separate page where we can read them.

Agape to all,  Obe

Another great example!

Thank you so much for the encouragement Pearl! You really hit the nail on the head with this one…

How shocking to claim that doctrines of error are God's provision! Why then, did we ever leave "Christendom", if erroneous doctrine is really just, "light getting brighter"?

This is another clear-cut example of the Organization’s dual application of various bible passages, i.e., double standards in worship--and additional proof that they practice hypocrisy: Whenever the GB misapplies God’s word, it’s Jah’s provision (Proverbs 4:18) but whenever Christendom fouls up, it’s due to satanic influence.

Please correct me if I’m wrong Pearl but I believe Jesus addressed this brand of worship in Matthew 7:21-23…"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. "Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.'

(You can click on the scriptures)

Yes Susan, if you notice, those verses are talking about those aspiring to enter, the "kingdom of the heavens".
Clearly there are anointed who are not going to do the will of the Father
(Matt.25:3,12,13,30; 13:30; Mal.3:2,3; Luke13:23-27; Heb.6:4-6)
These practice "lawlessness", which breaks the law of Christ, which is love (Gal.6:2; John13:34; 1John4:20)...just as was prophesied (Matt.24:12).
The identity raised up above God's Temple, is even called, the "Man of Lawlessness",
due to "his" lack of love for the "least of Christ's brothers" (Matt.25:41-46). Having such a lawless ruler over them, certainly has it's effect on God's called ones.
(2Thess.2:4; 1Cor.3:16; Rev.9:3,10; 2Cor.11:20,4; Rev.13:7,10; 11:2).
Those who remain in subjection to (slaves of) this Beast, will not be sealed as slaves of God (Rev.7:3; 14:1), nor "enter into the kingdom of the heavens". (Matt.7:21; Eph.2:6)

Thank you!

Hi Obe!

Thank you for the kind words of support! It is also my hope that what I have written will reach at least a few who are "sighing and groaning" as I once was. With regard to my former congregation, I received a few replies but as expected, they were not positive. Interestingly, three individuals stated that they wouldn't read my letter because, as one person put it, they "serve Jehovah, not man"! As you know, JW's continually encourage Catholics and others to read information critical of their religious leaders/church, and when they refuse, they say they have been blinded!  But yet reading my letter is a no-no because doing so would mean they are serving men! Such blatant hypocrisy can only be attributable to two things: pride and arrogance.

Only Satan could succeed in having so many otherwise intelligent people become so senseless.
Yet we know, as almost unbelievable as it is,
it was foretold.

"Look at the nations and watch-- and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told."  (Hab.1:5)

"Babylon was a gold cup in the LORD's hand; she made the whole earth drunk. The nations drank her wine; therefore they have now gone mad" (Jer.51:7) ( Hosea9:1)

"Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons." (1Tim.4:1)

"And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast,
and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are spirits of demons " (Rev.16:13,14A)

For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.  (Matt.24:24)

"Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you--unless, of course, you fail the test?" (2Cor.13:5)

Hi Bondgirl007,
Welcome, & Wow! What a powerful letter! That has got to wake up some that read it. It’s really great to meet you, & we’re so looking forward to hearing more of your story. I only found Pearl about 6months ago so I’m even more of a newbie to all this. So far we’ve only written a letter to a couple of our very closest friends. That was about a month ago, we saw them again last night & their attitude to the org & the elders is definitely changing so we’re really happy today image,( I hope I’m not getting excited prematurely),

Love to everyone

Hi Bondgirl007 and Barb,
Yes the Organization always wants to have it both ways...the old double standard of our stuff (because we have the truth) ...but we certainly ain't gonna read your literature (unless it was filtered and printed by the Org. like the numerous tracts and articles on the world's religions including the book... "Mankind's search for God")   Yes any literature that approaches the JW org with "just the facts " is not allowed to be viewed by them.  They will filter information that they want to feed the congregations so that it only slants in their favor.  We may hopefully reach some, but often when it comes to confessing he truth in front of elders and others...they hide what they really feel for fear of being "thrown out". (John 12:42)
(John 12:42) New LIving Translation:
Many people did believe in him, however, including some of the Jewish leaders. But they wouldn't admit it for fear that the Pharisees would expel them from the synagogue.

HI Barb!

Thank you so much for the kind words of support!

It is truly sad how the Org. uses family members and friends as human barriers, trapping many inside against their will!  This situation brings to mind the lyrics of a song by the Eagles:  Last thing I remember, I was running for the door, I had to find the passage back to the place I was before. "Relax," said the night man, "We are programmed to receive, You can check out anytime you like... but you can never leave". Most JW's do not wake up to this reality until they get a sense that "something is rotten in....Denmark." But by that time, it's often too late to simply walk away--at least, not without very serious consequences, namely the loss of family members and close friends! (as you know.) I have a great deal of compassion for all those in such a difficult position --including your friends possibly! It is my hope that you can continue to communicate with them so that any fear of loss on their part may be overcome by a sense of indignation, utter disgust, and anger! I think for many, this is the only way out --the only "passage" back to a life without the puppet strings of an ungodly, tyrannical puppetmaster organization!

Wow...6 hours to finally get this post up, because of all the internet problems.
So relieved. I guess I left out some of what was in the other attempted posts.
But most of the thoughts and scriptures are here.
I just hope it helps to awaken someone.

(Click on uncited scriptures to read them)

Also wanted to tell you that I posted this at the Blogspot. It has more there...clarifications and edification.

Jesus well knew the final scenario. He spoke of us losing family members.
Yet the GB teaches that these are those that remain inside the Organization, which are losing disfellowshipped family members, by means of their loyalty to the Organization.
They are told to remain strong...loyal to the Organization...while family members are disfellowshipped.
Which is it? Who did Jesus have in mind when he spoke about his own disciples losing familiy members due to their loyalty?
The scriptures tell us clearly.

34 “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. 35 For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; 36 and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’ 37 He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38 And he who does not take his torture stake and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. 39 He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it. (Matt.10:34-39)

Our first clue, is that the division within families, caused by the sword of truth, will also cause the faithful to lose their previous lives.

Now look at verses 21,22:
"21 “Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. 22 And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved." (Matt.10:21,22)

Now we learn that the division in families will cause the faithful to be handed over by loved ones, to be killed.
The faithful will seem so dispicable, that they will be hated by everyone.
And it is clear that we are speaking of the end time, because we must "endure" this persecution, "to the end".

Who loses their former life, is handed over by loved ones to "death", and is "hated by everyone", including family members?
Is it those who are disfellowshipped for exclusive devotion to God, or those who cling to and are loyal to the Organization?
Do so called "apostates" hand over their loved ones to be "killed"?

I know by personal experience, as well as the many letters I receive,
that those who are disfellowshipped for refusing to worship the GB and Org.
are the ones who are turned in to the "elders" by family members and "friends", to be
"attacked" and "killed" under the veneer of "shepherding" (Eze.34:2,10; Jer.12:10; 1Cor.3:9,16; Jer.23:1).
The "elders" themselves view the disfellowshipping judgment to follow, as a spiritual "death".
On the other hand,
who do the so-called apostates turn "Jehovah's Witnesses" over to, in order for them to be disgraced and killed?

Those who are disfellowshipped do not treat their loved ones with any less love,
but absolutely, those who are loyal to the Org., do treat disfellowshipped ones with distain and disrepute.
Those loyal to the Org. do not lose their lives through this procedure, but certainly,
those who have spent decades serving the Organization and have raised their children accordingly,
and have chosen a marriage mate as directed,
have lost the life they knew. The losses include friends, marriage mates, children, and parents....exactly as described by Christ.

For even more clarity on who it is who suffers loss for the sake of Christ,
let's examine the scriptures that describe HOW the faithful lose their lives, family, and reputation.

Those who take an open stand for the scriptures, are judged and expelled by the local "elders".
These believe that they have the authority and power to judge and spiritually "kill",
depriving the person of the life they knew, including contact with loved ones.
They believe that in doing so, they are serving God.
Jesus also knew these details, regarding those who would lose their lives and family.
He said:

"“These things I have spoken to you, that you should not be made to stumble. 2 They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service. 3 And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me. 4 But these things I have told you, that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you of them." (John16:1-4)

Where do "elders" get the idea that they have this authority to judge the anointed and destroy their lives? (1Cor.3:17)
Are they themselves mislead?

"Elders" practice a belief in the following scriptures...

22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”  (John20:22,23)

"17 And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector.
18 “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
(NOTE: Who is the "church"? See Eph.5:23; Rev.21:9,10; 1Cor.12:27,18,27,28; 6:2)
"I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." (Matt.16:19)

Yet a closer look at those cited verses reveal that this authority is not for non-anointed Gentile elders at all, but is given to those of the faithful anointed, the Lamb's wife.

"Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? If the world is judged by you, are you not competent to try trivial cases? Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more matters of this life?" (1Cor.6:2,3)

But certainly,
if it were not proper for "elders" to judge and "kill" anointed for their dissonance with the leadership, due to elders exercising of a false authority;
would not such a supposed error, also be mentioned by Christ in his end time prophecies?

"He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God." (2Thess.2:4)
"God's Temple" are also the anointed priesthood (1Pet.2:5,9; Eph.2:20-22; 1Cor.3:16).
According to 2Thess2:3,4, there is an apparent "man of lawlessness", who is exalted above that Temple,
which puts God's Temple under "him".
Confirmation comes for this scenario, when we read Rev.11:2....
"2 But leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the Gentiles. And they will tread the holy city underfoot for forty-two months." (Rev.11:2)

Christ is to be the head of his anointed body of priests. Those priests are to be slaves of God alone (Rev.7:3; 14:1).
Any who subject these chosen ones under them, usurp the headship of Christ over those to be his wife (2Cor.11:2-4,20; Rev.13:10,7).
They make themselves "equal to God" (2Thess.2:4) because they dare replace Him as Master over His sons and daughters.
Could it be true, that the elders do not have genuine authority to judge and destroy the anointed slaves of God? (1Cor.3:17)

"Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand." (Rom.14:4)
"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 33 Who dares to bring a charge against God’s Chosen Ones? It is God himself who justifies them. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us." (Rom.8:1,33,34)

Why then, do "elders" believe that they have authority to judge and condemn, dishonor, expel, and take the life and family from any Chosen Ones who dare,
to stand up against the false doctrines of the wicked steward? (Rev.2:20-21) (2Cor.10:5) (Rev.2:20 -  (( "deceives my servants" ))
Where does their authority and power to do this really come from?
Does prophecy describe this circumstance?

The book of Revelation describes a false prophet. A close look at what this one creates, is intensely interesting...

"11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. 14 And he deceives my own people (link for "my own people" footnote) who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in behalf of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. 15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed." (Rev.13:11,14,15)

"Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in behalf of the Beast, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image." (Rev.19:20)

Note that this false prophet, who is misleading God's own people (Anointed --1Pet.2:10,9; Matt.24:24,25)
gives "breath" (spirit --John20:22) to an image of the Beast, enabling this false image of possessing spirit, to kill all those who do not recognize it's new authority.
The false prophet performs this sign, in behalf of the Beast, so it can now use this new authority and power, to kill any who do not worship it (Rev.13:15)
Yes, the image that this Beast possesses Holy Spirit is false, because that spirit/breath, was from the mouth of the false prophet...not from God (Rev.11:11; John20:22; Gen.2:7).
Where does the spirit that comes from the mouth of the false prophet come from?

"13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are spirits of demons" (Rev.16)
By means of the breath of the false prophet, the Wild Beast gains authority to deceive, dominate, and "kill", even the Holy Ones (Rev.13:7,8,10).....
Just as the "man of lawlessness" does (2Thess.2:4; 1Cor.3:16).....
and just as the Gentiles do (Rev.11:2).
We are told the "number" of the Beast, is the very same number as a "man" (Rev.13:18).

So we see that there is a Gentile force that stands in the anointed Temple of God, deceives it into subjection, and has the power to "kill" any who do not obey it.
We see that the Gentile Beast has received that image of spirit authority, on the bases of a false prophet.
Is it ever acceptable for Gentiles to perform the duties of God's chosen priesthood, replacing them in His Temple?

6 “Now say to the rebellious, to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “O house of Israel, let Us have no more of all your abominations. 7 When you brought in foreigners, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in My sanctuary to defile it—My temple—and when you offered My food, the fat and the blood, then they broke My covenant because of all your abominations. 8 And you have not kept charge of My holy things, but you have set others to keep charge of My sanctuary for you.” 9 Thus says the Lord God: “No foreigner, uncircumcised in heart or uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter My sanctuary, including any foreigner who is among the children of Israel." (Eze.44:6-9)

Who is it, that has received the "circumcision of the heart" so that they may serve in God's Temple acceptably?

"...but he is a Jew (children of Abraham) who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, by the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God." (Rom.2:29)
"And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise." (Gal.3:29)
" also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ." (1Pet.2:5)

So....Do Gentiles belong serving as Temple priests....dominating the Holy Ones, trampling them, and casting them out? (2Chron.13:9)
Could this be viewed as "a disgusting thing, standing in a holy place"? (Matt.24:15,16)
( )
Was it foretold that this would take place?

"And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations.
And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled
." (Luke21:24)
.....under the dominion of the Gentile Beast, who is granted authority over them, by the false prophet.
"He who goes into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword.
Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
" (Rev.13:10)

Despite this, there are some Holy Ones who do stand up against the false image of the Beast, as having Holy Spirit / having divine authority.
Then, In harmony with the power the false prophet granted the Beast,
they are then killed by it (Rev.11:7; Rev.6:9-11; 12:10,11; 15:2; 14:5).

That killing includes, the loss of family, one's former life, and one's good repute.

"And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. 9 Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves. 10 And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth." (Rev.11:8-10)

So...according to prophecy, IS it those who remain loyal to men in power that lose family for the sake of truth?...
Or, is it those who are cast out, despised, and rejected by Gentiles in power, who are the ones who truly suffer all loss, for righteousness' sake?

We must consider that the intense and dire "Great Tribulation" that comes upon God's people, to test their loyalty to Him, may not be physical at all, but spiritual.
Perhaps this is why Jesus said that most of his slaves would not even take note, or know what day he came upon them for inspection
(Luke17:26,27; Matt.24:43; 1Thess.5:2,4; 2Pet.3:10; Rev.16:15; 3:3; Luke19:41,42,43,44)

This topic started out with such a bang that I had to send  the link to a friend who has kept  in touch a few times by text, even though I am an “apostate”.   I thought your letter was so well laid out, Susan, how could I not pass on your logic?  Thank you so much for sharing it with us

.And Welcome!  I am so glad you have joined us.  The support here is incredible.

As this page has grown with follow-up comments by Pearl, Obe, and Barb, I do hope my friend is hooked and makes a return visit to see what new fine fruit is offered.  Thank you, Pearl, for giving us a link to scriptures – I’m not sure if it’s a harder thing to do, but I do like it even better than popup scriptures, I think it’s because all scriptures in a line appear. I will call this the common sense page, as it has only grown in its logic and spiritual intensity.  Thank you all, and I intend on passing it on to more friends; let’s hope they read it!  I feel I need to print it out and drop it by bundles from an airplane…over the local Kingdom Hall.

Hi everyone,
I was in the org nearly 30 years and maybe I’m a bit thick but I truly believed what I was told, that is; you only get disfellowshiped if you are an unrepentant SERIOUS and repeated wrong doer. I was also taught that “apostates” were people that came to hate Jehovah and their former brothers. I only learnt once I started checking out the other side of the story on the internet 6 months ago that you get labelled as an apostate if you disagree with the org on even minor interpretations of scripture. Of course I always knew this was frowned on and you’d get shunned for questioning anything, which I often did, but I didn’t know you could get disfellowshiped for it. I feel really annoyed with the org because they misrepresented their rules to get us to join. These rules about blind unquestioning obedience are unspoken but everyone raised inside knows them very well, I see the fear and panic in them every time one of us say’s something that the elders wouldn’t approve of. We all wondered why we didn’t fit in, it’s because we didn’t know the unspoken rules, but if we had’ve known them we would have left sooner in disgust or never even joined in the first place, and that’s precisely why these rules ARE unspoken.
Hi Bondgirl007 you mentioned the mental health issues some people have after disfellowshipping, we are very close to a family that had a brother suicide afterwards, no doubt it was because ALL his family was in the org, not to mention his friends. And it’s interesting you bring up the song Hotel California because I had also related that line about not being able to leave to the org and how so many would love to leave but can’t because of family and fear of being cut off. I think it would be great if someone started legal action on behalf of all the families that have lost loved ones to suicide or mental health problems due to disfellowshipping, especially as the rules are misrepresented to us before we join.

Love to each and every one of you ,image

Hi everyone,

The clarification that you have given, Pearl, on Rev. 13:11,14,15 and Ezek. 44:6-9, leaves no doubt that the organization is the fulfillment of these prophesies, and  not christendom.

I hope many coming out of the organization can see the magnitude of this and not lose sight of the warnings given to God’s own people.  It will do me good to reread your article on the Gentile times/ Great Tribulation/Cleansed Priesthood.  As you said regarding the final and fourth beast,

“The depictions in Revelation chapter 9 and 13 are unique to the time of the end in their intensity and effectiveness against those invited. Yet this type of persecution is a common testing to which all invited are subjected, regardless of when they lived.
My point is that the "scorpions" have always been present to persecute God's seed (Gen.3:15). But in the time of the end, Satan uses this identity and the tribulation they cause, to an unprecedented degree.”

I appreciate your illustration of a resilient virus in comparing this fourth beast – stronger and more deadlier now than in any point in history.

Barb, Thinking back (my memory either kicks in very slowly or not at all), I never really had an affinity toward the GB while in the organization.  It seemed rather sterile, they had their place and you accepted it.  And as you say, the unspoken rule was to accept whatever came down from them.  But now!  They are in the limelight painting a glossy picture of supposed humility on one hand, laying down the rules on the other.  Reminds me of the candy, jawbreakers, that I indulged in as a kid, with many layers of sweet and tart - you like it and you don’t and you question why you keep the thing in your mouth.

love to you all,

Exactly Peely. What a glaring lie, to even call them, the "Slave". They are the Masters, and we were the slaves (Rom.6:16).
(note: "Master" is the meaning of "Baal"  --1Kings18:21)
The scriptures tell us that if we are a slave of any men, we are no longer a slave of Christ.
(Rom.6:16; 1Cor.7:23; Gal.1:10; Col.3:24)
When we worship according to the doctrines of men, we worship in vain (Mark7:7,13), because we no longer worship according to the truths of God.
(Deut.6:6,8; Rev.13:16)
When we transfer the obedience and loyalty due God alone (Matt.4:10,4), to an organization (Rev.13:8), we are Idolaters
(Isa.2:22; Jer.1:16). (1Cor.10:20; Rev.2:20; 9:20)

Yes Barb, the rules have changed. The lies have progressed into full-grown frogs (Rev.16:13).
The grapes of Babylon's last harlot daughter, are ripe for harvest (Deut.32:32,33; Rev.18:3; 14:18,19).
Prophecy must be fulfilled. It tells us that the faithful are killed (Rev.6:9-11; 20:4; 11:7).
Could they possibly be killed for just and righteous reasons? No.
Clearly they are killed for the same reason Christ was killed...a faithful witness to the truth from God
(Rom.6:5; Rev.11:8; Heb.13:13; Rev.3:14; 12:10,11).
The only way these prophecies can come to pass, is if the Beast that kills them (Rev.11:7),
does so unrighteously (Rev.11:2; Matt.24:15; Rev.17:6; 13:15).
We are now witnesses of these things, and thereby establish them before God's justice
(2Pet.3:7; Joel3:14; Rev.20:8,9; 11:5; Acts5:32; Deut.32:36; Neh.9:27; Isa.48:20).
Although the dishonesty and brutality is truly shocking (Hab.1:5; Rev.17:6; Dan.7:7,19,21-23; Rev.11:2),
we are not dismayed (Isa.41:10,14; 49:8; 50:9; Rom.8:31).
Our loving God through Jesus Christ, has told us ahead of time what to expect, so that we are not stumbled
(John16:12,13,2,3,4,1; Luke17:1,2; Mark11:23; Rev.8:8).   (Matt.24:24,25)

Hi everyone
Yes Pearl things have changed a lot in the decades since we joined, but it was slowly so we hardly noticed while it was happening just like you said in your article “The Throne of Satan “ where you said;

Imagine that Satan wishes to steer the obedience and worship of the Chosen, to him. After gaining this control, he wants to drown the Chosen in deep waters far from shore. First he must convince them to get on to a ship which he will later sink. The ship must appear solid, safe, and unsinkable. History contains the reality of such an illustration.
The massive crowd of people claiming to be genuine worshipers of Yhwh around the world, can be compared to the Titanic. Deceived into boarding this ship, the majority of Chosen ones today are found within that Organization. It is a huge ship, which takes time to turn or hault. In order to change it's heading, it must make turns gradually. It must have a captain and crew under Satanic influence. Satan knows that turning the worship of God's people away from God, and toward him, will need to be done gradually in order not to provoke awareness or alarm. This stealth will aid in a smooth transition which few can discern. Once the gradual turn is made and the heading changed, such a huge momentum would be difficult and timely to halt.

Very gradually over the years; The Watchtower has been gradually turning the worship of "Jehovah's Witnesses", away from Yhwh. How? By turning the Flock's obedience toward it's leaders, and away from scripture

And what kept us there was the hope that “the light would get brighter” and the lie “wait on Jehovah, he will sort things out in his own time”image. But seeing with our own eyes that things were getting worse at the same time as coming to discern from the scriptures that Gods people would become unfaithful in the time of the end is what wakes us up. It’s a bit of an emotional roller coaster when we wake up, most days we feel blessed that our Father has chosen to reveal the real truth to us, but some days we still feel used and betrayed by those we thought were Gods true channel. There is also grief at the loss of the illusion of a warm protective brotherhood. It takes a few personal crises to realise that “the loving brotherhood of JW’s” is just an illusion, this seems to be the way our Father shakes us out of our stupor. But there really is a loving and supportive brotherhood on the internet, so thankyou Pearl and Obe and everyone else who have set up these havens of love and everyone who has contributed their experiences and thoughts and expressions of love and support .      image

Disfellowshipped on 7/16/14

Hi Michelle, Everyone!

As expected, the elders shot and killed me with the shun gun on Wednesday night! My last communication with them--about two weeks prior--is posted below. The offense? Speaking truth to my JW neighbors! (Ephesians 4:25)

Approx. three days after I sent my letter out to everyone in the congregation (posted previously on this board), one of the elders in my former congregation called. The first thing he wanted to talk about was subjection to the Org. Citing the example of Moses and Aaron, he discussed how the GB is being used by God today even though they make mistakes like Moses did when he commanded water to come out of the rock.  The following is my response:

I thought a bit more about your example of Moses and Aaron.  What you failed to mention was the fact that Moses’ single slip of the tongue cost him his life! In one moment of frustration, he "directed attention" to himself rather than Jah; spoke "rashly with his lips"; and "acted undutifully towards Jehovah" (insight book, p. 438) But the GB has a lengthy and ongoing track record of such offenses! What's worse is the fact that they pass the buck for these sins rather than show repentance. How do you think jah feels about that?  His dealings with Moses makes the answer to this question crystal clear...maybe you should consider these things the next time you put Jah and the GB on equal footing at one of the meetings. (I am  alluding to  a comment this elder made at a meeting once; it’s quoted in my letter…”whatever comes out of the mouth of Slave, consider it as coming out of the mouth of Jehovah”)

elder #1 response:

The questions I ask myself are like those of the apostles: "Whom shall we go to away to?" (John 6:68)  Where did you learn the truth about the soul, the real condition of the dead, hellfire, the trinity, the paradise, the Kingdom, being  "no part of this world",  the 144,000, etc.?  Was it from the churches of Christendom?  Or was it from Jehovah' s Witnesses?  Those from whom you get your information; where did they get whatever truths they have?  From their own selves? or from Jehovah's Witnesses?  Further, Jesus said that "this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth" during the last days.  Who is doing this work today?  The churches?  Those who espouse your views?  Do they follow the example of Jesus and the apostles, who "preached publicly and from house to house"?  These are the questions that are so revealing as to whom Jehovah is using and blessing.

My response to elder #1:

I do appreciate that i gained a love of god's word from the witnesses but that in way obligates me to worship the GB rather than jah. It doesn't somehow exempt me from the divine obligation to obey god as ruler rather than men; to test every inspired expression, etc. Had the rank and file understood this In the first century, they wouldn't have rejected the Lord's counsel to flee Jerusalem.  Their religious leaders were "sons of Abraham" and “teachers of the law” but that did not excuse them from the responsibility to "make sure of all things".

Good afternoon! I would like to conclude my thoughts from last night....According to the scriptures, neither preaching nor any other "powerful works" cancels out the sinful practice of hypocrisy in Jah's eyes --under any circumstances. the Pharisees were "sons of Abraham", "teachers of the law" as mentioned previously, and yet The Lord condemned them for their double standards in worship..."woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you travel around by sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he becomes one of you, you make him twice as much of a son of Gehenna as yourselves." like these self-righteous men, JW's practice hypocrisy, i.e., do as I say, not as I do", so Matthew 23:15 above aptly applies to them as well. (also Matthew 23:3, 28; 7:21-23)

Elder #2:

I’ve read your letter and spoke with Bro.  XXXX about your exchange w him. In light of all of that are you formally saying that you no longer want to be one of Jehovah's witnesses? We only ask that as a last resort as we would prefer to meet and discuss the matter. If however your mind is made up we will respect you decision. Thank you

My response to elder #2:

Good I mentioned to bro. XXXX, there is no point in meeting with you two because there's nothing you can say that I haven't already heard and taken into consideration...I still worship Jah and talk to others about his truths but refuse to practice hypocrisy and bow down to an image--an Org.--as i once did. if you choose to disfellowship me, I know this is the real reason why (my refusal to obey the GB as ruler rather than God), for I spoke the whole truth and nothing but the truth in my letter.

Elder #2 response:

So let me get this straight one last time. You were taught what you call Gods truths through an organization that you now call an image that requires idolatry to be able to remain in its good graces. You say you learned this while in a spiritually weak state from those who were admitted apostates because the org would not listen and adopt some of their views.

And now your convinced that Jahs will for you going forward is to either teach bible truths you learned from an org you now disdain or try to convince  former religous associates to adopt the view of your new group and develop the same disgust with this org and its slave that you and your group share.

Please consider 3 script pts

1. Who really is the faithful and discrete slave whom his master appt. If its not this one you must be saying its your new one

2. By their fruits you will recognize them. What righteous fruit has your group produced other than disdain for their former.

3. Not everyone saying lord lord will enter........but those doing the will of my Father. Is Jahs will for all his servants to be assoc w a group that took its very identity from an org that they now turn on and call apostate.  Teaching others to hate this org and this slave is your whole ministry? Susan, you have a dead chicken on your neck and your calling it sweet smelling. Please meet w 2 of us. You have been over reached. Its not too late.  Your brother still….XXXXX (Note: the “dead chicken” comment was kind of an inside joke)

My response to Elder #2:

Good morning…. In reply to your message, my study of the scriptures alone made it clear to me--long before I left--that Jah does not approve of the practice of hypocrisy; and yet I was continually required to preach/teach one thing but do another --or face expulsion from the congregation. (Matt. 23:3b, 28, 15; Romans 2:21) I believe I spelled that out very clearly in my letter.  This realization had a snowball effect as it led me to question the scriptural accuracy of everything the Org. said and did from that point forward (acts 17:11; 1 john 4:1; prov. 146:3,4) Once I  determined that the GB was not really the “faithful and discreet slave” as they claimed, it all made sense—the hypocrisy, consistent misapplication of God’s word, etc. It was at this point that I decided to leave.  Approximately six months later, I discovered I wasn’t the only one who had seen and smelled the same “stinky”, lifeless chicken dangling from the GB’s neck  :-) . So contrary to your assumption, I did not “learn this while in a spiritually weak state from those who were admitted apostates”.  Rather, it was God’s word alone that led me to the light of “truth”-- something the Org. has ventured further and further away from over the years. (John 17:17) Speaking of God’s word, the similarities between apostate Jerusalem and the Watchtower Org. is truly uncanny—the self-righteous arrogance, false sense of security, the hypocrisy, etc. …yes, it’s not too late bro. XXXXX…”to begin fleeing to the mountains”. (Matt. 24:16)

Wow, awesome answers. I just hope he heard with ears wide opened, what you said in your last sentence.
After all, "JW's" have been expecting the end for many decades. If they can just consider it from
a different viewpoint (with God's permission), they just may wake up to the sobering realities, and take vital action.
Lets pray for all possible, to be rescued. I know that none of us care what they have done to us, if only they can be saved.

It is fine in God's sight, that we do not "dissociate" ourselves, as the Org. prompts us to do when we are dissenters.
The scriptures tell us to "speak truth, each one with his neighbor",
so we do not save ourselves only,
but seek to offer what we have been freely given, to others.
You have been persecuted for righteousness sake (Matt.5:10-13).
Genuine followers of Jesus Christ, are treated as he was (Matt.10:24-39).
You have great reason to rejoice. Your reward is sure, if you endure to the end.
The more time which passes, the clearer the distinction between those truly serving God,
and those who practice lawlessness (Mal.3:18).
Blessed are those whose eyes have been opened, while they may yet be saved.
Love in Christ,

Hello and welcome Susan.
I read your letter at Pearl's blog and again here. Among others of course it had special meaning and resonated with me. It reflects many of the things I have discussed or touch on in recent meetings with the elders in my congregation. I am being "urged" to get with the program and wait on the organization etc etc.
Sheesh. Anyway, just wanted to thank you for sharing. It helped to better articulate if only for myself what I tried relaying to what seemed like a brick wall in these meetings. It just totally left me aghast, the programmed responses and false premise on which "reasonings" were being argued.
I would say sorry about the effects of the DF but not sure that is necessary given the dancing banana and all. :-) As we here recognize it is a badge of honour in a sense to be counted worthy to be dishonored in behalf of Jesus' name.

Hello Everyone, (Hi Nimity)
Bondgirl007, those are excellent responses.  I guess it helps to be able to "text" them rather than speaking to them.  I also declined the invitation to meet with 3 elders to comply with "Organizational Protocol".  I did meet two elders in the parking lot to hand them my second letter but I declined to go into the KH with them.  On the phone with a different elder (later after I met the 2) is when I declined the "tri..bunal" (3) . It's all about "protocol" with them...they are not there to listen to you and try to understand...they just are going through the motions as laid out in the elder manual.  Good for you that you did not comply with a diss-association protocol form.  A warning letter is what the scriptures require..."speak truth each one of you with his neighbor"...Good for you... as (Matthew 5:11,12) says:
11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

If we are speaking truth about what we have learned, then they have nothing to fear.  Their "truth" should be able to stand up to they have stated and printed in older literature.   I added some older WT "quotes"  to my main page at Obadiah Blogs under "Truth and light or Lies and darkness?" .....It is true that the Organization has been so hypocritical.  You only have to actually compare their own words in print... then and now... and with what they say verses what they do...too bad the "rank and file" JW will not do this...maybe this is why they want to switch over to their web page site.  They already have "sanitized" the CD research disks so that you can't research too far maybe they want to "sanitize" what they have already said in print by not using the printed page anymore.   Too late....way too many people have the bound volumes and books that they have put out there...many old timers would never throw out their Heirloons...oops...I meant "Heirlooms".  The elder body is always directed to "destroy" all former letters of policy and even copies that they have whenever a "new" upgraded policy letter comes out...  (As in those that deal with policies about child abuse, pedophiles, rape accusations etc.).... "Destroy the evidence".   Wonder how that will hold up in court?
Anyway Pearl is right ...we should pray for as many as possible to "wake up".

Agape,  Obe.
